Coronavirus

​​Important information about the coronavirus

Each and everyone of us must take responsibility to reduce transmission of the virus.

Advice for preventing infection:

Keep your distance!

  • Stay at home if you feel ill.
  • Stay at home if you have been told to (in quarantine or isolation).
  • If possible, try to maintain at least one metre between yourself and other people.

Practise good hand hygiene!

  • Wash your hands often and thoroughly.
    • when you been around other people.
    • when you have been to the toilet.
    • when you have coughed, sneezed or blown your nose.
    • before cooking or eating.
  • Use a disinfectant if no soap and water are available.

Practise good respiratory hygiene!

  • Avoid coughing or sneezing on other people.
  • Cough into a paper tissue and then discard the tissue. Wash your hands afterwards!
  • If you do not have a paper tissue handy, cough into your bent elbow.

If you think you have been infected:

  • If you suspect you are infected, you must stay at home.
  • Call +47 40 40 96 30 and ask to be tested in Trysil.
  • If you are in need of medical assistance while staying in Trysil, please call the emergency medical service on +47 116 117 (postal code 2420). Don’t go to the emergency room without an appointment.

Coronaphone

Trysil municipality has two coronaphones. Call +47 40 40 96 30 if you need to be tested. Call + 47 94 02 38 96 if you have other questions related to corona, for example about entry into Norway or quarantine.
These phones are operated Monday-Friday at 8-15.

If you get symptoms on weekends, please call the emergency medical service on + 47 116 117 (postal code 2420). Don’t go to the emergency room without an appointment.

Testing

Everyone with acute respiratory tract infection or other symptoms of COVID-19, and everyone who has been exposed to infection to COVID-19, either as a close contact or after travel to countries or regions with high incidence during the last 10 days, and anyone who suspects that they have COVID-19 ought to be tested.  

Symptoms

COVID-19 often has the following symptoms; fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, or feeling unwell.
